This west side park near Central and Maize (10201 Hartner http://www.wichita.gov/ParkandRec/CityParks/Pages/Buffalo.aspx) has it all. There’s a fantastic new splash pad with clean restrooms and picnic area, beautiful pond, baseball diamonds, tennis and basketball courts and a expansive play area.
After we had our fill of the splash pad, we made a beeline to the playground. Amazing! It reminded us of a training ground for American Ninja Warrior!

Mom Tips: A smart dad brought water balloons for his kids to fill up at the buffalo nostrils and cups to fill up to splash each other. Definitely doing that next time! And we went on a very windy day, maybe not the best idea for the splash and picnic part of our visit.
Kid Tips: The sprinklers were awesome and the park has tunnels to train to be a ninja! Weston thinks this park is “pretty darn good.” Sully said the sand movers/digger things were his favorite.
