Minisa Park was one I frequented as a kid, but it has changed a lot in the few *cough* years since then. So it’s only fitting that Grandpa Dan joined us tonight!
Minisa is located on 13th Street, across the Arkansas River from North High and across the street from Wichita staple, Riverside Cafe (704 W. 13th Street – http://www.wichita.gov/ParkandRec/CityParks/Pages/Minisa.aspx).
It’s cute, clean (mostly) and had a lot of things in a little space.
Features:
- Playground Base: Rubber
- Picnic Tables: Yes, in a nice shady spot!
- Pool: Only open Monday & Friday according to a local kiddo
- Community Center
- Swings: None
Mom Tips: It was a nice evening, so we played for a bit and then walked to Riverside Cafe for dinner. They are super kid-friendly and kind, and shoot, sometimes your kid only wants Mickey Mouse pancakes for dinner. We’ve also had picnics in this park in the past, as it’s perfect for that! It’s got mature trees, grass to run and a view of one of the prettiest schools in town.
Kid Tips: Weston’s favorite was the slide, and Sully liked the chain bridge (it’s the first one we’ve seen so far).
