If I hadn’t seen Mayor’s Pine Grove listed on the Parks and Rec website, I wouldn’t have known it was part of the system as there are no signs or other indications that it is a park.
This park is located in downtown, next to the Post Office. It’s a small triangular piece of land that was planted with 44 pine trees in 1978. Weston and Andy counted the remaining trees and came up to original trees and several newer trees.
It would be neat if they added a marker or something talking about the history. Park benches and picnic tables would make it a great place for the downtown set to lunch and take a break.
