Lynette Woodard Park is a family favorite of ours. A few summers ago we discovered this park after a soccer class at the rec center. Since it's near 17th and Hillside, we'd hit the drive-thru at that Mickey D's, grab some vanilla cones and hit the park.
The park is named for famous Wichitan Lynette Woodard, the Olympian and first female Globetrotter.
It's a great place to let the kids play, and if they get tired of the equipment, you can hop over to Mueller Elementary School which has one of the coolest school playgrounds in town. I mean, who wouldn't want to play on a rocket ship?!?

Kid Tips: They both wanted to go inside the rec center and see if there was a class they could join. They were so excited to visit this park again! Sully said to try the slides because they're really fast!
