Down the street from Riverside Park North is Oak Park (1100 W. 11th Street North).
You’ll see an old stone arch and walking trails when you first drive by the park. The path by the arch leads to a lily pond that is full of frogs and tadpoles!
This park has one of the best disc golf courses in Kansas. There are only three courses in Wichita: Oak Park, Herman Hill and Cessna Park. The Air Capital Disc Golf Club is putting on a tournament at Oak Park on July 6th. For more info, go to their website: http://aircapitaldiscgolfclub.org/

Mom Tips: Bring binoculars if you have them to scope out the lily pond residents. This is another place that would be good for family photos. It’s beautiful!
Kid Tips: Weston was fascinated with the lily pond and really wanted to bring home a tadpole. Sully liked the trails, climbing the trees and wanted to play frisbee golf with some kids we saw.
