So, this awesome little park wasn’t on the Wichita Parks and Rec website, and didn’t appear to have a name. It’s located near Gordon Parks Academy at 25th and Piatt or Ash. The playground backs up to Ash while the basketball court is off of Piatt.
But it should have a name! This little park was super-cool. There was a fenced in basketball court and playground. The neighborhood kids use this park a lot and love that it’s there now. A young man (probably 16) was very proud of the park and jokingly complained that they didn’t have anything like this when he was young.

Mom Tips: This is another park that is in great condition, except for the amount of litter. If you’re wanting to play on the playground, park on Ash so you don’t have to walk through the basketball court.
Kid Tips: It was great for climbing! They both climbed over the entire playground and could get from one side to the other without touching the ground. Good thing, because the ground was lava!
