#52. Redbarn Park

After going by Country Acres Park for a second-look, we found Redbarn Park. It’s back deep in the neighborhood behind Northwest High School and just a couple of blocks away from Kensler Elementary (965 N. Redbarn Lane).

This park was a bit rough. There were three plywood panels used to fix and replace missing or broken panels on the playground. There was a safety cone in the middle of the sand, but we couldn’t tell why it was there. There are a few athletic fields.

Features

  • Playground Base: Sand
  • Slides
  • Swings: None
  • Park Benches
  • Bathroom: None
  • Athletic Fields

Mom Tips: Honestly we didn’t stay at this one very long. I was a bit worried about the safety of the equipment after seeing the plywood fix. And I was worried that the safety cone might have been on the equipment originally and then moved.

Kid Tips: Weston couldn’t reach the monkey swings/bars and he kept complaining that it should have a step so all kids can reach them.
