#115. Leon Robinson Park

Leon Robinson Park is on the site of the old Greiffenstein Elementary School, which was hit by a tornado and then relocated in the 1990s.   There's a metal detecting club here in Wichita that says it's a prime location for metal detecting.

Features:

  • Playground Base: Sand
  • Swings
  • Slide – A metal one!
  • Merry-Go-Round
  • Picnic Tables
  • Walking Path
  • Basketball Court
  • Bathrooms: None

Mom Tips:  We happened to come on the Wichita Neighborhood Night Out and it was a blast!  There were so many kids and families and everyone was having a great time getting to know each other.  I love Wichita Neighborhood Night Out!  For more information, check out the Wichita Police Department's site for the events here:   http://www.wichita.gov/WPD/Pages/NeighborhoodNightOut.aspx

Kid Tips:  The boys had so much fun and met a lot of great kids at this park.  They want to come back soon!
