Swanson Park is located near the corner of Central and Maize. The parking lot for the park is on Maize, north of the shopping center on that corner. The park is a beautiful oasis, with nature trails and is a Wichita Wild Habitat Area.
There’s signage at the start of the path that is a little worn away. It looks like the path allows bikes and skates, because the red circles have worn away. What it should say is that bikes and skates are prohibited on the trails.

Mom Tips: I just love all the nature trails that Wichita has. Seeing and being out in the Wichita Wild Habitat Areas is a definite stress reliever.
Kid Tips: Weston loved the climbable trees, while Sully was fascinated by the infographic with the local wildlife – he’s convinced that hamsters were running around through the park.
Swanson Park is our absolute favorite because it has wheelchair accessible paths and lots of shade. We go there often. More pictures: https://goo.gl/photos/CV8D9ryjVZGzNePc9
