Hellers Park is a Wichita Wild Habitat Area in north Wichita. It’s located south of Earhart Elementary at 4401 Arkansas.
There’s a nature trail through the park, and it’s nicely mowed. On our original visit, we were unaware of the trail, so we came back out to check it out. This time we set out at the entrance near the Little Free Library.
The trail winds through the park and comes out at the west end of Earhart’s parking lot. On our trek we found a plethora of animal tracks and even spotted a deer!
Features:
- Nature Trail
- Bathrooms: None
Mom Tips: I would recommend bug spray and long pants. We found a tick on both the boys afterwards, so do a tick check after your journey!
Kid Tips: Weston was bummed he forgot his binoculars. He and his brother both had a blast exploring and looking at bugs.
