#40. Oak Park

Down the street from Riverside Park North is Oak Park (1100 W. 11th Street North). You’ll see an old stone arch and walking trails when you first drive by the park. The path by the arch leads to a lily pond that is full of frogs and tadpoles!   This park has one of the … More #40. Oak Park

#38. Sherwood Park

Sherwood Park was not on our list, since it wasn’t on the Wichita Parks and Rec site, but we drove by and couldn’t resist.  The park is off of Meridian and 96 (3796 Womer Street), next to the Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center.  The old metal play structure caught our attention and we couldn’t … More #38. #37. Sycamore Park

Sycamore Park was amazing! We hit this park on Wednesday and the boys loved it! It’s located near 13th and West Street (3637 W. 15th). The coolest part? The park had TWO merry-go-rounds! A little one and a bigger one, and they were both great. And a rope climbing pyramid that Weston calls the Eiffel … More #37. Sycamore Park

#36. Columbine Park

I thought for sure this park was going to have a playground, since it’s so near to an elementary school (all of the others in close proximity have had them). … More #36. Columbine Park

#35. Redbud Park

Redbud Park is in the neighborhood south of 21st Street and west of Woodlawn, at 5502 E. 19th Street North. Interesting tidbit about this park: according to the Parks and Rec website, the City got this land from Wichita Public Schools (USD 259) in 1981! We’ve seen three merry-go-rounds on our quest, and two of … More #35. Redbud Park

#34. Eastview Park

Eastview Park is located on east 13th Street near Rock Road and to the south of Coleman Middle School.   One cool thing about this park is the fitness trail that goes through it. Wichita Parks and Rec’s website says the trail is .77 miles and has 20 exercise stops. Weston called it the ninja … More #34. Eastview Park
